Celebrate Recovery, 12 Steps Faith Based Recovery Program

We meet on Thursday evenings at 7:00 PM in the Sanctuary. Childcare is available.

1

We admitted we were powerless over our addictions - that our lives had become unmanageable.

2

We came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.

3

We made a decision to turn our lives and our wills over to the care of God.

4

We made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.

5

We admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.

6

We were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.

7

We humbly asked Him to remove all our shortcomings.

8

We made a list of all persons we had harmed and became willing to make amends to them all.

9

We made direct amends to such people whenever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.

10

We continue to take personal inventory and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it.

11

We sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, praying only for knowledge of His will for us, and power to carry that out.

12

Having had a spiritual experience as the result of these steps, we try to carry this message to others and practice these principles in all our affairs.

We meet on Thursday evenings at 6:30 PM for Solid Rock Café. 7:00 PM in the sanctuary…. We start with a time of praise songs and then have a teaching and after that we break up into small groups to confidentially share what is on our hearts as we talk about focus questions for the night. After that we head out to enjoy snacks and conversation in the Solid Rock Café in the fellowship hall. If you want help dealing with life and what it has brought you, we invite you to come and see what can happen!

Celebrate Recovery was started in Saddleback Church in California. John Baker was the originator of its Principles. It is a safe, confidential place to share your hurts and find the unconditional love of Jesus Christ, the One Higher Power. Only through Him can we find true change in our lives.

We all need help with something in our lives, and here is a place to come to talk and share and heal.God’s Love does amazing things if we open our hearts to Him, our one and only true Higher Power!

Little Lambs Preschool

Providing an Academic, Social and Christian Education Program.

Our purpose at the Little Lamb Pre-School is to provide an academic, social and Christian education program. The school is sponsored by the New Martinsville United Methodist Church. Our goal is to provide a pre-school experience that will help children grow socially and emotionally while advancing their language, reasoning, and small and large motor skills. An emphasis will be placed on spiritual development.

Little Lambs encourages learning with a variety of methods, including: dramatic plans, indoor and outdoor play, stories, music, art and other creative media. Each child will be encouraged to become the best they can be based on their unique gifts and abilities.

Our teacher, Mrs. Dawn Peck started teaching at Little Lambs during her internship while still attending college at WVNCC. She received a part-time teaching position at Little Lambs the following year and then became our full-time teacher. During her year teaching part-time, she said she learned so much from our teacher Mrs. Kinnard. Dawn will continue to instill all she learned from Mrs. Kinnard plus some new and fun ideas of her own. Mrs. Peck lives in Sistersville, WV with her husband Dee and five boys: Austin, Logan, Parker, Anthony, and Lance.

In the fall we will be offering classes for children ages 3 to 5 years of age. If you have questions please call the church at 304 455-1422. The church is located at 10 Howard Jeffers Drive, New Martinsville, WV.
